Strake strikes first, as William Dickason drops it off for Dylan Campbell on the screen, and Campbell has a wall of blockers with him. He takes it 52 yards for the Crusaders touchdown and the Crusaders lead 13-0 after one.
In the 2nd, Cy Creek’s Julian Uwadia(OOH-wah-dee-uh) connects with Cogan DeRouselle for a 7-yard touchdown that makes it 13-10.
It’s 20-10 Strake in the third, when Uwadia calls his own number and scampers 4 yards for the Cougars touchdown to pull Cy Creek within three.
Strake responds on the ground. Joel Crawford has a huge hole up the middle and he sprints 47 yards for a Crusaders touchdown, Strake leads 27-17.
The Cougars march right back down the field and Uwadia keeps it on the read option for his 2nd rushing touchdown of the night, and Cy Creek is back within three at 27-24.
Then it’s Uwadia going back to the air, this time for Legend Grigsby. And Cy Creek completes the comeback and defeats Strake Jesuit 45-33, the Cougars advance to face the winner of today’s Humble vs Katy Taylor game.
