Cy Creek vs Katy Taylor - 2019 Texas High School Football Playoffs - Regional Finals Highlights

In 6A Division Two, Cy Creek meets Katy Taylor at NRG Stadium…

Katy Taylor strikes first as CJ Tolbert trots in for a 4-yard touchdown run and the Mustangs race out to a quick 7-0 lead.

After a Taylor field goal, the Mustangs come up with a big play on special teams. Juan Romero forces a fumble on the return and after a wild scramble, Cecil Ivey Junior falls on it in the end zone for a Mustangs touchdown. Katy Taylor up 17-0.

Then it’s Taylor’s defense getting in on the fun, Trevor Woods reads the route perfectly and picks off the pass and there’s nobody between him and the end zone. It’s a 40-yard pick six, Katy Taylor up 24-0 after one.

After another Mustangs field goal, Cy Creek finally finds a spark. Legend Grigsby fields the kick at his own 2, fakes the reverse, and then turns upfield and sees a huge lane to run. He only has the kicker to beat, he shrugs him off, and Grigsby takes it all the way, 98 yards for a Cougars touchdown.

Taylor responds through the air however, as Jay Jensen the third lofts one downfield to a wide open Tanner Isola for a 35-yard touchdown, and Katy Taylor leads 37-7 at halftime.

In the third, Jenson rolls to his right and fires into the end zone for Gavin Belue(Buh-loo), nice job to get a foot in bounds, and Katy Taylor cruises past Cy Creek 58-20 is the final, the Mustangs will meet Austin Westlake next weekend.
