Things are tight atop 17-6A and two of the leaders went at it as Cy Creek visited Stratford
First half, Cougars get penetration which leaves Thurston Ashford open for a 3. Cy Creek led 37-31 at intermission.
3rd quarter, Spartans have come back to take a 1 point lead and when Luke Hatcher hits this 3 pointer, they are up 52-48 after 3.
4th quarter now and Stratford down 3 with seconds remaining. Spartans run a play to get Everett Bates an open look and…IT’S GOOD AT THE BUZZER. What a shot!!! 66-66 and we’re heading to overtime
In OT, Keanu Dawes takes the long steps to the hoop for 2 of his 18 points and Stratford leads 69-67.
Then with just under a minute to play, Corey Hadnot drops the 3 pointer to put Cougars up 72-71. Hadnot scored 21 on the night.
But on the other end, Hatcher drives the lane, scores the layup and gets the blocking call to boot. Hatcher with 23 points and Stratford wins it 75-74.
