Crosby vs Liberty Hill - 2020 Week 20 Highlights

"It's been 60 years since Crosby played in a state title game, but they'd need to get past Liberty Hill in order to get another chance.

Former bobblehead winner, Reggie Branch got the Cougars started on the right foot as he slashes through the defense for a 27 yard touchdown and Crosby was up 7-0.

2nd quarter, tied at 21, Deniquez Dunn drops back to draw the rush, then throws the screen to Branch....he's got the blocking set up and that's a 40 yard touchdown pass. Crosby leads 28-21.

Liberty Hill has a powerful running attack. They rushed for over 700 last week, and over 500 yard last night. Here's 51 of them by Trey Seward. Crosby still led 35-31 at the half.

3rd quarter, Cougars widen their lead through the air. Dunn, with almost all the offense going right, he throws it left to Jaylen Herman and that's a 19 yard score. 42-31 Crosby.

Later 3rd, Dunn passes to E'Monte Wilson and Wilson spins off his defender and goes 17 yards for the score. Crosby would widen their lead to 9.

They would get it back and then Branch would go in from the 1 yard line. Crosby led 55-39, but Liberty Hill would score 16 in the 4th to sent it to overtime tied at 55.

In overtime, gotta go to Branch again, right? This one is a 13 yard score. Crosby up 7.

After the Eagles score, they elect to go for 2 and the win, but Blake Simpson loses the ball going in.....Cougars appear to fall on it and after some discussion, it's ruled Crosby ball....and the Cougars are heading to the state title game for the first time since 1960 with a 62-61 win. They will face Aledo next Friday"
