Crosby Cougars vs. Humble Wildcats - 2013 Basketball - Week 5

The time is now for Crosby, they have 11 seniors on the roster. Crosby's TJ Stewart is lightning quick, he gets the steal and lays it in. It was 16-15 Crosby after one quarter of play. 2nd qtr Desmond Smith steps up and bangs home a three as Humble built a 6 point lead, 26-20. Stewart dishes to Raylin Singleton for the slam to pull within 2, but coach Lair Crawford and the Wildcats went into the break up 26-24. The two went blow for blow in the 3rd, Tray Collins with a 3 it put Humble back up 6. Collins had quite a night pumping in 27. Crosby responds K. Williams with the floater with 5 seconds left in the 3rd and it was tied at 39. The Cougars blow past Humble in the 4th, the Stewart to Singleton combo pays dividends once again the JAM gives Crosby a 51-45 with 3 minutes to play. So much for a close game, one more time as Singleton throws it down much to the delight of the Cougar faithful. Crosby moves into a tie for 1st place in district, 62-50.
