Conroe took on Oak Ridge Thursday night as both teams entered the game at 3-1.
2 big stories in this one. First, the return of Oak Ridge running back Alton McCaskill. The senior missed the last 2 games due to injury, but was back in a big way this week. He ran for 163 yards and scored on this 46 yard touchdown putting the War Eagles up 10-0 at the half.
The other story was the Tigers inability to hang onto the ball. Conroe Quarterback Jalen Williams going deep, but the ball is tipped and picked off by Dexter Green of Oak Ridge and he would take it back for a nice gain.
Then, Williams trying to escape, but he is the victim of a strip sack by K C Ossai (Oh-say) and it's picked up by Myles Terry who returns it to the 15. 8, thats right "8", turnovers for Conroe on the night.
That would lead to a quick pass from Steven Smedley to McCaskill for 6. War Eagles go up 38-0 and beat Conroe for the 8th straight time. The final 38-14.
