East Bernard trails 6-0 after one, but on the first play of the 2nd quarter, Dallas Novicke(No-VITCH-kee) plunges in from a yard out and the Brahmas(BRAY-muhs) take a 7-6 lead.
Same score in the third, when Novicke tosses to his running back Devin Chapman, and Chapman has plenty of open field in front of him. He takes it all the way for an East Bernard touchdown, Brahmas up 14-6.
Then it’s the East Bernard defense stepping up. Carson Little jumps the route and picks off the pass for the Brahmas, setting up the offense with great field position.
The Brahmas go to the air, and Novicke connects with Douglas Grymes(Grimes) for a nice gain to set up East Bernard with first and goal from the one.
Novicke punches it in on the very next play, and East Bernard pulls away to win Comfort-ably, 28-6 is the final, the Brahmas will face Ganado in the next round.
