Cleveland Star is a Bundle of Energy for the Entire School

It was only 5 years ago when Cleveland was just a 4-A school. Now the Indians are in the state’s largest classification and doing so with a brand new head coach. Quirino Silva stepped on campus and knew he had to change the culture if Cleveland was going to be successful in 6-A. And although through 6 games, the Indians only have one win, they are learning to hold themselves responsible for their play on the field

When Silva went to meet the players this past spring, he wanted to see who his leaders were. Who he could count on to help keep his players on the same page. That’s when he met linebacker, Kendrae Lewis

Lewis is the essence of school spirit. Not only is he a vocal leader on the Indians defense, he also participates in the Student Council and is a member of the Cleveland cheer team. (Nats of a record scratch).......That’s right, Kendrae has been on the Indians competition cheer squad since his junior year.

Kendrae says he will continue to make the most of all opportunities that are presented to him. And if you ask him where he sees himself in 10 years he’ll tell you that you just might see him on the sidelines motivating another group of up and coming Cleveland Indians.
