Moving over to The Rig, it’s Clear Springs taking Pearland Dawson…
Dawson marches down the field on the opening possession and Jaden Stewart trots into the end zone from 2 yards out, Eagles up 7-0.
Clear Springs comes right back down the field and Garrett Rooker rolls out and finds a wide-open Jacob Wingard for the short touchdown pass, Chargers down one, 7-6.
It’s 14-6 Eagles in the 2nd, when Myles Kitt-Denton swings it out to Stewart and Stewart takes care of the rest, he reaches for the pylon, it’s a 20-yard touchdown and Dawson leads 21-13 at intermission.
Clear Springs not backing down, however. Rooker back to the air and he hits Isaiah Bibb for a 40-yard touchdown and the Chargers take the lead, 26-21.
Back comes Dawson, as Stewart finds the end zone for the third time on the night, this one an 8-yard score to make it 27-26.
The same score in the fourth, when Ky Woods takes the pitch for Clear Springs, and look at him go, he breaks a few tackles and heads to the house, it’s a 47-yard touchdown, Chargers up 32-27.
After a Dawson field goal, Kitt-Denton goes to the air and connects with Alex Boudreaux(BOO-drough) for a 9-yard touchdown, and Pearland Dawson pulls out a hard-fought 38-32 win over Clear Springs, the Eagles get defending state champion North Shore up next.
