Clear Springs Lady Chargers vs. Duncanville Pantherettes - 2013 Basketball - Week 9

Pamela Crawford trying to keep the Chargers relaxed in the programs first state tournament appearance, Clear Springs only has one player who is taller than 5-9, while Duncanville has 7 including Kiara Perry who is SMU bound 1st quarter, Duncanville on the break off the steal, Perry gets it ahead to Tamara Washington and she gets the lay up. Clear Spring's makes a run when JoAnn Lira drives and finds an open Brooke McCarty on the baseline who gets the hoop and the foul, McCarty a junior who is committed to UT scored 14 on her future home floor. Clear Spring's Courtnie Latham drives, misses the pullup jumper, but stays with it for the hoop and the 3 point play. Latham had a team high 16 points as the Chargers only trailed 27-23 at halftime. Duncanville dominated the 2nd half scoring 19 unanswered points during one stretch, Perry finds junior Ariel Atkins in the paint and she hits the nice turnaround jumper. Duncanville's Tasia Foman and Atkins play the "2-man" game and Atkins connects on the long jumper, Atkins finished with a game high 29 as Duncanville wins 64-40
