Clear Springs Chargers vs. Clear Lake Falcons - 2013-14 Girls Basketball - 01/07/14

University of Texas bound Brooke McCarty is hoping to lead Clear Springs to her future home, we pick up the action in this one late in the first as Paige Tippett gets the steal and beats the buzzer to close out the first quarter. 2nd quarter Brooke McCarty on the break, over to Labryae Jackson for a 15-9 Clear Springs lead. McCarty also flashes some long range accuracy nailing the 3 from the corner. Clear Lake was having trouble keeping pace, but Veronica Llanes stops the bleeding with the basket to cut the lead to 26-15. McCarty doing what she does best, gets the steal and the bucket on the other end. The Clear Springs pressure was causing problems for Clear Lake throughout the first half, Brianna Jackson gets the steal, over to Paige Tippet who once again gets the shot at the buzzer to fall, and Clear Springs goes into the intermission with a comfortable 35-19 lead. The damage was done, but Clear Lake had its moments, late in the 3rd, Llanes over to Torrie Thompson who gets the bounce on the three, Thompson led Clear Lake with 20 points. McCarty comes right back down and launches from way downtown, to close out 3rd, it was 3 of McCarty's game high 27 as the Chargers win 60-49.
