Clear Lake Falcons vs. Clear Falls Knights - 2014/15 Boys Basketball - 02/06/15

It was Senior Night for Clear Falls as the Knights hosted the state’s 6th ranked team, Clear Lake. It was all Falcons early on, Christian West creates the turnover and on the break it’s Orion Lewis to Nick Winfield for the finish. More fast break action from the Falcons Bradley George up to Lewis who lays it in. Clear Lake was up 14-2. Clear Falls 1st year coach Clif Lyles trying to regroup, and the pep talk seems to work as the Knights storm back in the 2nd quarter. Payton Barnes with the no look pass to Blake Wardlow which cuts the lead to 8 much to the chagrin of Clear Lake coach Tommy Penders who is the son of former UT and U of H coach Tom Penders. The run continues, Drew Chronister drains a couple of trey’s, Chronsiter led Clear Falls with 13 points as the Knights go into the break up 2. 3rd quarter, Chris Stenerson with the putback it puts the Falcons back up 33-32. Stenerson led the way with 16. Clear Lake pulls away in the fourth, some nice passing to Alex Westby, 56-45 is the final. Clear Lake moves to 26-2 on the season.
