It was a tight 28-27 Seven Lakes lead at the half 6 – Third quarter, off the inbounds, JR ADAMS with the quick three, nothing but net 7 – More Cinco, JA’MICHAEL TANNER drives, dishes to ISAIAH EDWARDS and the big man lays it in. He had 10 points, and the Cougars had a 38-36 lead after three 8 – It was back and forth in the final quarter. KAMERON MCGUSTY drives hard to the hoop and gets the 2 points. All tied 9 – Then, from the top of the arc, TYRUS PEREZ with the pretty three pointer, Cinco up 41-38 10 – Spartans right back. MCGUSTY drives to the basket, gets fouled, count the bucket. He had a game high 18, Lakes down by 2 11 – Then, off the missed three pointer, TYRUS PEREZ collects the rebound, puts it right back up and in, Ranch up 45-41 12 – Final minute, ESKOR EDEM from the corner, and the clutch three pointer falls, pulling Seven Lakes within 1 13 – 10 seconds to go, last chance for Lakes, MCGUSTY drives the lane, puts up the shot, it won’t go, final desperation shot doesn’t reach the hoop and Cinco Ranch holds on in a great game, 45-44 the final.
