Bridgeland vs Cy Fair - 2020 Week 14 Highlights

A post season tune up game between 2 undefeated teams as Bridgeland and Cy-Fair close out their regular seasons against one another.

Cy Fair would take an early lead as LJ Johnson powers in from 2 yards out, fighting hard on the sweep around the left end and its 7-0 Bobcats.

Later, they set up the pass with that vaunted rushing attack as Carter Cravens finds Landon Arrington behind the Bears defense, its a 37 yard scoring strike as the Bobcats take a 16-7 lead...

Bridgeland would put together a nice drive and answers with their quarterback, Connor Weigman (wigman) to Dylan Goffney. The SMU recruit shakes off a tackler and gets into the endzone to cut the lead to 2, 16-14...

Then it's the defense stepping up. Cy-Fair backed up to their own goal line and Cravens getting heavy pressure just looking to avoid the safety but he's hit! It's picked out of the air by Brayden Amacker for a touchdown! Huge momentum swing as the Bears take a 21-16 lead into the locker room.

After the intermission, Cravens redeems himself...Rolling to his right and looking for an open receiver - he finds Jack Witmer - at 6 foot 7. The coverage is good but the throw is right on target, Cy-Fair regains the lead, 23-21...

Back and forth we go, Bridgeland pulling out all the stops as Weigman throws a lateral to Sophomore Receiver Jonathan Nelson - check out the cannon on that young man! He delivers a dime to Hunter Wallis! A 68 yard dagger and its Bridgeland 28, Cy Fair 23.

We move to the 4th quarter and Weigman delivers the knockout punch with this laser to Gofney he takes it the distance and Bridgeland finishes the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record, winning by a final of 41-29. Cy-Fair falls to 9-1, both teams headed to the playoffs.
