Brianna Turner - 2014 Chevy Inside HS Sports Female Athlete of the Year

While dominance comes to mind when thinking about Manvel's Brianna Turner game, versatility maybe the best description. She's the best player in the country hands down. She can play the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. She can break the press, she can post up, her basketball IQ is through the roof. She's made me better over the years so I have to thank her for it. Brianna Turner is a great player so it's been great playing with her instead of against her like I used to. Brianna was a part of a state championship as a freshman at Westbury Christian, however the recent 5A UIL girls title she won with Manvel put much more than just a bookend of sorts on her high school career, Brianna staked her claim as the nation’s #1 players, not to mention going down as a legendary figure in the annals of Texas high school basketball. It's a really good honor, but it's rankings I try not to take it too hard because it could change at any time. It's people's opinions so I just try to work as hard as I can to maintain my spot, but also just to get better as a player. She's already gained international experience as a member of the USA Women's National Team, and it would come as no shock to see Brianna find Olympic gold and a long career in the WNBA after she finishes at Notre Dame. We hang out we go to the movies, we have sleep overs we just saw Endless Love, that was a good movie. There's going to be some endless love for Brianna, her teammates and all that they helped accomplish in Manvel this season.
