Brenham High School Football - Chevy Spotlight

This is the 100th year of Brenham football. Safe to say a lot has been accomplished, but the Cubs are hungry to add one last feat to their résumé. It’d be great to do it. It’s been a lot of fun getting there, but I certainly wouldn’t dismiss it if it were to happen. Despite the storied past, the Cubs hadn’t reached a state championship game until head coach Glen West took the reins of the program. Since his arrival in 1998, Brenham has made the finals 3 times. There’s been a total buy in from the community since we got here. West has sent 40 players to D-1 universities during his tenure. There's talent in the pipeline, QB Caleb Hill and Jacquay Cross combined for 6 touch downs in a game earlier this season and RB earnest Patterson ran for over 2,500 yards a year ago. Earnest has helped on the play action, and teams have to respect Jacquay and it makes my job easier. We have such a great connection. Congratulations to the Brenham football team, this week’s Chevy Spotlight.
