Brenham Cubettes vs. Bastrop Lady Bears 2013 Basketball Week 7

Brenham's 1st stop in the 4A playoffs was a matchup with Bastrop. The Cubettes only have 2 seniors, but feature 6'7" Sophomore Teaira McCowan who scored 45 points and had 36 rebounds in a game against Magnolia during the regular season. Megan Cavazos on the break for Bastrop as the Lady Bears get out to a 7-4 lead midway thru the 1st. Brenham finds its stride, Naomi Seitz gets free for a layup. This is the kind of night it was for Bastrop Alencia Woodberry with the block then McCowan with a block. McCowan gets 2 underneath the basket as Brenham starts to get a little cushion. McCowan was virtually unstoppable gets her own rebound and drops it in. Brenham goes on for the win 59-45
