A beautiful night for football as Wharton came into their game with Bay City looking for their first win of the season. Things not looking to good early though as On Bay City's opening drive, sees the offensive line dominating the line of scrimmage...
Avery Smith hands it to Davy-yun Curtis who gets some nice blocking and he finishes this run with some power to get the Blackcats down to the 2 yard line.
On the next play its Odedrick Morgan capping the drive as Bay City takes an early 7-0 lead. Wharton answers with a nice screen pass - Frederick Jones to James Jones, and they've got it set up nicely as he breaks a tackle and houses this one 35 yards out and we're tied at 7's...
Bay City keeping things on the ground...Late in the first quarter Smith hands it off to Curtis again and he muscles his way through the Wharton defense, they can't stop him and Bay City takes a 21-7 lead to the 2nd quarter.
Wharton would respond once again through the air as Frederick Jones rolls out and throws a nice little jump pass to Chandler Ford but they miss the extra point so they still trail 21-13.
6. Then it's Jones to Jones again. Fredrick to James for their second hook up of the night. another missed extra point makes it 21-19 Bay City.
The story of this night though, the Bay City rushing attack as they wear down that Wharton defense. Davy-un Curtis making it look easy thanks to the big guys up front and Bay City ups their record to 3-0 on the season with a 42-31 win.
