Battle of the UNBEATEN Cy-Fair vs Katy is the Game of the Week for DFW Inside High School Sports

Katy leads 3-0 in the 2nd, when Cy-Fair’s defense comes up with a big turnover. Kade Campbell picks off the pass and heads the other way, big return for Campbell down inside the 10 yard line to set up the Bobcats offense.

Moments later, Carter Cravens buys himself time and then connects with Bayne Tryon for the short touchdown pass, Cy-Fair takes a 7-3 lead.

Katy looking to answer before, Bronson McLelland finds Steven Stiles for a nice gain down inside the five yard line to set up the Tigers with first and goal.

The Tigers get into the end zone as McLelland rolls out and hits Dylan George for a 2-yard touchdown, Katy takes a 10-7 halftime lead.

It’s 13-7 in the 3rd, when Mclelland hooks up with Jordan Patrick over the middle, and watch as Patrick just sheds defender after defender, what a play by the senior Wide Receiver, he takes it 42 yards for the touchdown, Tigers on top 20-7.

Bobcats not backing down, LJ Johnson explodes through the line of scrimmage and he breaks loose into the open field. Johnson kicks on the afterburners and he takes it in all the way, 85 yards for a Cy-Fair touchdown, the Bobcats are right back in it, down 20-14 heading to the 4th.

But Katy’s defense comes up with the biggest play of the game. Bryan Massey comes down with the interception for the Tigers and he has a lane to run. Massey takes it 40-yards for the pick six, and Katy wins it, 27-14 is the final, the Tigers advance to meet the winner of our next game.
