Barbers Hill is Having Quite The Season in 5A
At Barbers Hill, “The Flight Zone” is not a section the Eagles want to disappoint. And with the exception of one loss, the boys basketball team has not let down their fan base. As a matter of fact, the Eagles haven’t done much losing anywhere this season as they were 25-4 going into this week and the 18th ranked team in the state for 5-A. But it’s their home court they pride themselves on showing out. Chris Pennington, despite having over 600 career wins, may be doing one of his best coaching jobs with this years team. He graduated 8 seniors from last year’s 29-7 squad and they may be even better. Barbers Hill is led by Aidan Williams, D’Andre Carlot (Charlotte) and William Wake….otherwise known as the “3 Musketeers” One of the reasons the Eagles have been so good is they have strong leadership within the team. It’s a “players led” unit which makes everyone on the team accountable for the others. Their cohesiveness has helped Barbers Hill surprise quite a few teams along the way.
