Ridge Point had a tall task trying to take down state power Austin Westlake at Mercer Stadium.
and the Chaps didn't make it easy on 'em. First Quarter, Paxton Land hits Brody Wilhelm who takes it in for a 22-yard score. Westlake led 21-0 at the half.
But give the Panthers credit. They did not give up. Down 28-0. Quarterback Austin Carlyle gets Ridge Point their first score of the year on this 10-yard run to the pilon.
Then, down 14, off the play action, Carlyle finds a wide open Dane Jones for a 64-yard touchdown to cut the deficit to 7, but that's as close as they would get. Ridge Point loses this one 31-21
