In a highly anticipated 23-6A district softball matchup, the unbeaten Summer Creek Bulldogs faced off against the Atascocita Eagles in a game filled with dramatic momentum shifts. Summer Creek took early control, building a 6-2 lead behind strong offensive performances, including a bases-clearing triple by Laci Crenwelge and an RBI bloop single from Bella Melchor. However, Atascocita refused to back down. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Eagles' bats came alive in a massive way. Savannah Broussard sparked the rally with a clutch two-run double to tie the game, followed by a go-ahead RBI single from Brileigh Davis. Atascocita scored six runs in the decisive sixth inning to complete a stunning 8-6 comeback victory, handing Summer Creek their first district loss.
