Atascocita Eagles vs. Westfield Mustangs 2013-14 Boys Basketball - 01/29/14

Atascocita is led by Joe Burton who is ranked as one of the top ten players in the state and is headed to Oklahoma St. 1st quarter Westfield's Deion Sidney knocks down the 3 to give the Stangs an early lead. Sidney had 14 points and was one of 3 Mustangs in double figures. Atascocita running the break, the Eagles with some quick passes and Burton converts, and things were tied at 16 after 1. 2nd quarter 6-11 Zach Haney showing off some serious range, the baseline three makes puts Atascocita up 1. Then Haney who had 16 points nails it from the top of the key and the teams went into intermission tied at 24. 3rd quarter, Chad Owens takes it all the way and draws the foul for a 3 point play. 32-28 Westfield. You saw the 6-11 Haney, but how about the 5-7 Nolen Bilbo. He knocked down a pair of threes in the 3rd, the 2nd of which ties the game at 37. Moving to the 4th quarter, Atascocita's Greg Shead gets the steal but misses however Burton follows to tie it. He finished with 16 points. Late in the game Westfield leaves Burton wide open and he makes the Mustangs pay with a dunk on the far end. Atascocita takes it 57-50.
