Atascocita Eagles vs. Klein Oak Panthers - 2013 Football - Week 6

Normally the Klein Oak faithful are decked out in black & gold, but it was the pink panthers or Panther pink out as they faced Atascocita. 1st play from scrimmage in the 2nd half Greg Campbell finds Taylor Stump all alone and Stump sprints down the sideline for a 53 yard touchdown reception to make it 28-13 Atascocita. Klein oak responds with 16 unanswered points off of two touchdown runs from Larenzo Stewart to give the Panthers a 29-28 lead. Klein Oak's defense put the clamps on the Eagles offense, Campbell is flushed out and Francisco Calderon makes him pay with the interception, then future Oklahoma State Cowboy Josh Mabin shows off his blue chip skills as he busts through and comes up with a great sack. Atascocita got the ball back with 15 seconds left Campbell fires it to Stump and the Eagles stop the clock with 5.3 seconds to go at the 24. In comes Caleb Bubel who's career long was 32 yards, but he makes a new high as the 41 yarder splits the uprights and Atascocita wins a thriller 31-29 in a pivotal district 13-5A matchup.
