Atascocita Head Coach David Martinez hoping his Eagles would go to state for the first time. They took on Allen who may have been more worried about cracks in the foundation of their 60 million dollar stadium. First quarter, Joe Burton finds Greg Shead in the corner for 1 of his 3 first half 3 balls. 16-11 Atascocita after 1. 2nd quarter, we'll just say Paris Marquez was passing this one....even if he wasn't Burton was there to slam it home 2 handed. But Allen would not go away. Oklahoma recruit Jamuni McNeace dunks home the missed shot just before the halftime buzzer. Atascocita led 26-25 at half. 3rd quarter, Shead with another big jumper to help the Eagles hold on to their one point lead. But Nick Rutherford would score 22 of his 27 points in the 2nd half and Allen opened up a 6 point lead. Then, with 4:24 left, Burton would foul out and that would just about do it for Atascocita. McNeace with another monster dunk and Allen goes to state for the first time ending Atascocita's season at 29-7. Final score 65-58.
