2015 Week 2 Football - The Woodlands Highlanders vs Dekaney Wildcats

We move North now for a non-district battle between the Woodlands and Spring Dekaney. Both of these teams opened the season last week with a win and maybe it was the Christmas colors of green and red that had DeKaney quarterback Adrian Hardy in a charitable spirit as he serves up a gift to Zach E-glay-see-us. He takes this one back 44 yards to the house, The Woodlands up 7-0. The DeKaney coaching staff goes conservative from there, looking to do something on the ground with Hardy running the quarterback draw. Different approach but same result as he's stripped, the ball lands into the waiting arms of Antoine Winfield Jr. and he's got nothing but green in front of him, lightning striking twice as the Highlanders increase their lead to 14-0. The Woodlands defense was strong holding the DeKaney offense to just 8 first downs on the night. DeKaney would finally settle down as Hardy would do a nice job of avoiding the rush, he's looking to go deep and Aaron See-Fuss is the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. He outfights the defender for the ball and walks in untouched to cut the lead in half but the Woodlands would score 20 unanswered points to get the W, they win it by a final of 34-7.
