Looked like a great QB battle between Manvel's D'Eriq King & Channelview's Jalen Hurts 1st Q and King strikes first.... He hits Sean Dykes over the middle for the 16 yard score. Mavericks up 7-0 Then Hurts looks downfield but his pass is intercepted by Junior Derrick Tucker at the 34. Nice run back by Tucker. He weaves across the field & won't get brought down until he crosses midfield. Tackled at the 37 Very next play... King goes for the big one. He hits Reggie Hemphill Mapps in stride. Touchdown Mavs! 14-0 Manvel drives back down the field and, from the 9, King with the screen to D'Vaughn Pennamon. It's getting out of hand quickly. 21-0 Hurts trying to get it going for Channelview but the pass is intercepted by Derrick Tucker one more time. We've seen this movie before. Another big run back.
