2015 6A D-II State Championship - Katy Tigers vs Lake Travis Cavaliers

Our second Class 6-A game featured the Katy Tigers in their fourth straight title game, looking for their first Championship since 2012, the Cavaliers of Lake Travis standing in their way. Lake Travis driving on their first possession, but the Katy defense comes up with a stop like they have all year as J-R Blades gets the big interception. Tigers go up 17-0 and look to be in total control. After a scoreless third quarter, Katy and Kyle Porter get on the board again. Another toss play and another touchdown for the Tigers. It's now a 24-7 game. Later in the fourth after Katy adds on a field goal Porter puts the nail in the coffin. He breaks off a big 45 yard touchdown run. Porter goes for over 200 yards and three scores on the night. As Katy wins it 34-7 to capture their record tying 8 state title.
