2015 5A D-I State Championship - George Ranch Longhorns vs Mansfield Lake Ridge Falcons

Both teams in just their fourth year of varsity football playing int heir first state championship. Longhorns off to their usual fast start. Josh Scruggs takes the handoff to the near side then cuts it back to the middle and in for the touchdown. Longhorns on top 7-0 Then after converting a fourth down play, Alex Fontenot goes in on the jet sweep and George Ranch is now up 14-0. Moving to the second quarter, Longhorns go to the air. Antonio Jackson with the beautiful fade to Quinton Morris for another Longhorn touchdown. George Ranch extends the lead to 21-0. Meanwhile the defense for the Longhorns was relentless. Multiple sacks on the player of the year from the metroplex, Jett Duffey and two picks in the first half kept the Eagles off the scoreboard. We go to the third and on their first possession, the Longhorns' Darius Anderson takes the screen pass 41 yards to the house. It's a blowout win for George Ranch as they win the schools first state title, 56-0 the final.
