About Galveston Ball
Ball High School in Galveston opened in 1884 and plays at Spoor Field. The Tornadoes have sent 28 players to the pros, including NFL wide receiver Mike Evans and five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Casey Hampton. Ball merged with Central High School in 1968, creating one of Texas's earliest integrated high schools.
