St. Agnes Tiger Girls - Chevy Spotlight

10/19/13

The Friday night experience at all boys school Strake Jesuit seems like any other, the girls from sister school St. Agnes girls are in the band, they do the cheerleading, but until this night in early October the fans weren't treated to a drill team performance at a football game despite the fact that St. Agnes boasts a national champion dance squad. We're the only thing missing and we're super excited to be here, we're full of energy and ready to support Strake Jesuit. I don't think any of us could have asked for a better performance we did incredible for our first time and we're all really proud of our team. It took Julie Chilton 7 years to get the Tiger Girls Dance Team on the football field, but it was worth the wait. I'm just so excited that Jesuit invited us out here, and I'm so excited that the girls worked so hard and it was a beautiful moment. The girls also get their kicks helping in the community, in fact all St. Agnes girls must complete 100 hours of community service prior to graduation. My Senior service project I went to camp Blessing which is a camp for kids with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other various disabilities, it was a great experience I love working with kids. It's something I can do to give back to people that I don't necessarily know, but I'm able to enrich myself and my understanding, and it was a great experience. The St. Agnes Tiger Girls, this weeks Chevy Spotlight.
