Oak Ridge High School Football - Chevy Spotlight

His name is Coach Rush and he's been in a rush to change the fortunes of the Oak Ridge football team. It goes back to the kids, the kids bought into the program, the kids are working, the kids are doing things right on the field, doing things right in the classroom, doing things right at home. We preach to the kids all the time about good things gonna happen to you, right now good things are happening to the kids. In his 2nd year at the school like the pied piper Rush has led and the War Eagles have followed. We knew we had to get the work in the offseason, the work in the past was different we have new coaches, a whole new coaching staff, we knew whatever they told us would be correct. To be honest with you a lot of teams put their pads up at the end of the year and they hit the weight room go run sprints and try to get more conditioned and in better shape. The first two weeks of our offseason, we spent in the team room in the classroom talking about character not only about how we can be better football players, but better men. Not that Grant and his teammates didn't do their fair share of physical work. But the goals they set are more attainable than initially expected. Based on the work the kids have put into it, we're not surprised. The Oak Ridge War Eagles football team this weeks Chevy Spotlight.
