Manvel High School Girl's Basketball - Chevy Spotlight
It's a state championship or bust mentality for the Manvel girls. That's all I'm looking forward to, my last year with Brianna, Rangie, Jonee I just want a state championship so we can hang our banner up in the gym. All the hard work and dedication we've put in on the court and off the court and the little things we try to do for each other, by trusting each other. They have a lot of big talent to go along with all of those little things including Brianna Turner who is widely considered as the top player in the country and is headed to Notre Dame next year. It's a really good honor it's rankings I try not to take it too hard because it could change at any time. It's people's opinions so I just try to work as hard as I can to maintain my spot, but also just to get better as a player. Brianna Turner is a great player so it's been great playing with her instead of against her like I used to. She's the best player in the country hands down. She can play the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. She can break the press, she can post up, her basketball IQ is through the roof. Her potential, she's going to Notre Dame and her potential is out of this world. Coach Harris should know, he was a practice player for Pat Summit when he was a student at Tennessee and has been around some of the best women's players in history. But Briana isn't alone, Rangie Beasard is headed to Minnesota, Jonee Jones has multiple scholarship offers and junior Jordan Hosey who's committed to Texas. Jonee and Jordan and Rangie, they don't play 2nd fiddle they show up and play hard and get their 15-17 points and without them we wouldn't be where we were.
