Clear Lake Falcons vs. Clear Falls Knights - 2013 Football - Week 9

Thrills and Chills were in the air as Clear Falls and Clear Lake battled. A Clear Falls win against Clear Lake would push the Knights into the playoffs and eliminate the Falcons in the district 24-5A race. Lake gets on the board first, Sam Smith with a quick pass to Stephon Chapman, he fights for the endzone 7-0 Falcons. Clear Falls answers, Alex Assarian deep to Mac White, 41 yard TD 7-7 they had 2 td connections on the night, but that was it for scoring in the first half. Halftime Clear Falls band is doing Thriller, and the ghouls were in the stands. 2nd half Clear Lake's Nicholas McGee with a great run, spinning, breaking a tackle, picks up 45 yards, what a workhorse, 45 carries for 182 yards. That set up Sam Smith diving in for the score 14-7. Regulation would end tied at 14, no one scored in the first OT, but in the 2nd OT Scott Marshall hits the 32 yard field goal and the celebration is on. Clear Lake wins 17-14 and keeps their playoff chances alive.
