Still in the first Lions get a little tricky as Ogo Obukwelu gets the pitch and finds Isaiah Laviege in the endzone, 21-0 Alief Taylor after one. 2nd Qtr, Tristan Lee on a 3rd and 1, gets the 1 and 53 more as the cut back springs him for the touchdown and Alief Taylor was running away with things 28-0. But Kempner hung tough, Nick Anderson is one of the area leaders in touchdowns and gets his 21st on this run up the middle and Cougars cut the lead to 28-8. Then check out the buzzer beater pigskin style. Some of the Taylor players were standing around thinking the half was already over, but the officials say Kempner got the snap off just in the nick of time. Jalin Bolden Scott gets into the endzone and after a 2 point conversion it was 28-16. Taylor’s quick start was too much to overcome however, 45-30 is the final.
