Alief Taylor, Lions Football -- Chevy Spotlight
At any given Alief Taylor Football practice, you'll find more coaches than just the members of the Lions staff making observations. It's funny last year we had the five d-1 guys and three of them were d lineman this year our skill guys the d-1 guys are two wide receivers and a couple of DB's. The Taylor assembly area was a popular place last signing day highlighted by Torrodney Prevot's last minute decision to go to Oregon. and the focus will continue with defensive back Chris Hardeman, and Josh Kalu, along with Wide Receivers Keenan Brown and Romello Brooker all getting the attention of BCS schools. I go against Romelo Brooker and Keenan Brown everybody knows him he gives me good push every day in practice and I'm just out here each and every day trying to compete against him and know if I can lock him down I can lock anybody down in the state. We work hard, dedicated and we condition ourselves We start off young as freshman the coaches they teach us as freshman how to be great, and when we get to varsity we're gonna be great. It's good competition our kids love competition around here, that's one thing I can say that our kids don't ever quit they compete and they like winning. Not surprisingly the top level talent battling each other at practice daily has translated to success on Friday nights as Taylor has captured the district championship 2 of the past 3 seasons, but the Lions are hungry for more. Well we talk about championships and it starts with district so that's where we're gonna start with and go from there and hopefully it'll take us many more games than it has in the past. O-Line D-Line is coming together we think we're gonna make a great push. In Alief Dave Knobler with this week's Chevy Spotlight.
