Texas City vs Clear Falls - 2019 Week 2 Football Highlights

Clear Falls looking for the first 2-0 start in school history as it hosts Texas City… the Knights make an early statement in this one, Quinn Bowen takes the handoff and has a hole to run through. He breaks free into the open field and he takes it all the way, 60 yards for a Clear Falls touchdown, it’s 7-0 knights. Texas City looks to answer. Corday Williams takes the carry and busts it right up the middle, he goes 12 yards for the Stingarees touchdown to tie the game up at 7 apiece. The knights march right back down the field, Gavin Esquivel swings it out to Brandon Howard and Howard takes it 21 yards to Paydirt, Clear Falls up 14-7 after one. Then it’s the Clear Falls defense stepping up. Peyton Lewis looking for a receiver, but there’s Brayden Torres there for the Knights interception and he sets up the offense with good field position at midfield. The knights take advantage as Esquivel rolls out and hooks up with Luke Vidal who can walk into the end zone, it’s a 19-yard touchdown pass, Clear Falls opens up a 35-7 halftime lead. The knights add a little more in the the 2nd half, Pierson Morelli tosses into the end zone for Kalen Green, and what a job by green to haul that pass in for the touchdown. Clear Falls is 2-0 for the first time in school history, the knights win 49-7 over Texas City.

Ridge Point Vs. North Shore - 2019 Week 2 Football Highlights

North Shore looking to bounce back from that week one loss to Katy, taking on Ridge Point Thursday night at U-H North Shore gets on the board early, as Demetrius Davis keeps it himself and fights his way into the end zone for a three yard touchdown, 7-0 mustangs. Ridge Point’s defense trying to settle in. Carter Aycock applies pressure and forces the fumble, and there’s Jacob Tubbs to fall on the loose ball for the panthers recovery. But Ridge Point can’t do anything with it, and North Shore marches right back down the field and Davis connects with Jalen Bailey for a 28-yard touchdown pass, 14-0 mustangs. Ridge Point looking to answer, Bert Emanuel junior, a familiar name around here, fires into the end zone but Jonathan James is there for the north shore interception. Late in the half, Davis finds a streaking Zorhan Rideux(rid-dough) over the middle of the field, and Rideux takes care of the rest, 38 yard pitch and catch and North Shore takes a 21-0 lead to intermission. What a night for Davis, he fakes the pitch and keeps it himself. 191 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, 194 yards and three more scores through the air, and north shore rolls past ridge point, 38-7 is the final.

Magnolia vs Shadow Creek - 2019 Week 2 Football Highlights

Let’s head into the Shark tank, as Shadow Creek hosts magnolia… Shadow Creek already up 7-0 in the first when Jaylen Lane finds a lane right up the gut, he gets to the one but coughs it up, fear not though, Greg Brown is there to recover it in the end zone for a Shadow Creek touchdown, it’s 14-0 Sharks. Still in the first, Kyron Drones scrambling and just lofts up into the back of the end zone, and there’s a wide open Seth Jones for the Shadow Creek touchdown, Sharks lead 21-0. Drones is just getting started. He airs it out deep downfield for a wide open CJ Guidry and Drones hits him in stride. Guidry goes the distance, it’s an 80-yard touchdown pass play for Shadow Creek, and the Sharks smell blood in the water, up 28-0. More Drones, he has plenty of time in the pocket, he eventually fires into the end zone for randy masters, that’s good for another Shadow Creek touchdown, it’s 35-0. Still in the second quarter, Drones dumps it off for Kelvon Brown, and Brown takes care of the rest. Right down the sideline and into your living room for another Shadow Creek touchdown, Sharks take a 42-0 lead to intermission. In the second half, Drones showing what he can do with his feet, he gets to the edge and heads for the pylon. Shadow Creek shuts out magnolia, 49-0 is the final.

Crosby vs Manvel - 2019 Week 2 Football Highlights

New Crosby head coach Jerry Prieto leading his Cougars up against Manvel Thursday night… Crosby strikes first, Deniquez Dunn rolls to his right and launches deep downfield for Jalen Herman, and how about the fingertip catch by Herman, it’s a 47-yard touchdown, Cougars lead 6-0. Manvel responds, Tucker yarborough hits Jalen Walthall, nice spin move by Walthall to slip out of the tackle, and he’s gone, 30 yards for the touchdown, Mavs go in front 7-6. Still in the first, same combo, yarborough to Walthall on the slant, perfect execution and Manvel leads 14-6 after one. Crosby answers in the 2nd, Le-Andre Smith plunges into the end zone from a yard out for a Cougars score, that makes it a 14-13ball game. Back comes Manvel. Guess who? It’s yarborough to Walthall for hooking up for their scoring connection of the first half, it’s a 23-yard touchdown, Mavs lead 21-13. More Manvel, this time on the ground, Donovan Eaglin gets the carry, he breaks through a couple of tackle and gets into the open field, he takes it 43 yards for a mavericks touchdown, Manvel leads 27-13 at halftime. Yarborough throws four touchdown passes on the night, he airs this one out deep to Jalen Paxton who can coast into the end zone for a 65 yard score, and Manvel improves to 2-0 with a 39-27 win over Crosby.

Fort Bend Travis vs Foster - 2019 Week 2 Football Highlights

Foster and Fort Bend Travis both 1-0 to start the year… Travis gets on the scoreboard first, as Aundre smith takes the pitch and scampers six yards for a Tigers touchdown, it’s 7-0 Travis. Foster answers through the air, Ryan Stubblefield drops back and heaves one deep downfield for Cody Jackson, he hits him in stride and Jackson strolls into the end zone, falcons tie it up at 7. In the 2nd, Travis quarterback Eric Rodriguez looks into the end zone for his favorite target, Parker Washington, nice grab by Washington for a 6-yard score, let’s look at it one more time, that’s one heckuva one-handed catch right there! Tigers lead 14-7. It’s 21-7 when the falcons go back to their aerial attack. Stubblefield buys himself time and then launches another rocket, this one for Carter Wilson, who hauls it in in the end zone to the Travis lead to 21-14 at halftime. But Foster can’t slow down Travis. Rodriguez connects with Washington one more time, and the Penn State commit is off to the races, he goes all the way for his 2nd touchdown of the night, Travis leads 42-21. And then how about some defense from the Tigers, Cameron Oliver jumps the rout for the interception, and there’s nothing between him and the end zone, he returns it all the way for a touchdown, and Travis is off to a 2-0 start with an impressive 49-35 win over Foster.

Katy vs Atascocita - 2019 Week 2 Football Highlights

Both Katy and Atascocita notched impressive season-opening wins last week, both looking for another big win in week two… Katy strikes first, Bronson Mclelland on the play-fake, he rolls out and airs it out deep for Jordan Patrick. And Patrick takes care of the rest. He goes 78 yards to the house for a Katy touchdown, it’s 7-0 tigers just like that. Atascocita responds through the air. Last week’s MVP on our show, Brice Matthews, firing into the end zone for Darius Edmonds, it’s a 36-yard scoring strike, and we’re knotted up at 7 apiece. Katy comes right back down the field, Ron Hoff gets the handoff and he bursts through the line and has plenty of daylight in front of him, 36 yards on the touchdown run, it’s 14-7 Katy. Meanwhile, Katy’s defense giving Matthews fits all night long. He’s forced out of the pocket and tries to create, but DQ Dawson dives in and is there for the Katy interception. It’s 21-7 in the 2nd, when Mclelland goes downfield for Steven Stiles, and check out this stylish catch, staying in bounds for the 24-yard touchdown reception. And the Tigers rout is on. Hoff finds the end zone one more time, and Katy cruises past Atascocita. 56-14 is the final.
