Clear Falls looking for the first 2-0 start in school history as it hosts Texas City… the Knights make an early statement in this one, Quinn Bowen takes the handoff and has a hole to run through. He breaks free into the open field and he takes it all the way, 60 yards for a Clear Falls touchdown, it’s 7-0 knights. Texas City looks to answer. Corday Williams takes the carry and busts it right up the middle, he goes 12 yards for the Stingarees touchdown to tie the game up at 7 apiece. The knights march right back down the field, Gavin Esquivel swings it out to Brandon Howard and Howard takes it 21 yards to Paydirt, Clear Falls up 14-7 after one. Then it’s the Clear Falls defense stepping up. Peyton Lewis looking for a receiver, but there’s Brayden Torres there for the Knights interception and he sets up the offense with good field position at midfield. The knights take advantage as Esquivel rolls out and hooks up with Luke Vidal who can walk into the end zone, it’s a 19-yard touchdown pass, Clear Falls opens up a 35-7 halftime lead. The knights add a little more in the the 2nd half, Pierson Morelli tosses into the end zone for Kalen Green, and what a job by green to haul that pass in for the touchdown. Clear Falls is 2-0 for the first time in school history, the knights win 49-7 over Texas City.
